Howdy all,

My name is Sam and I live in the DC area but am originally from Austin, TX. I  am the guy who writes the weekly emails for BBQ Backyard. I view myself as sort of a "BBQ Journalist" and am always looking for new stuff to write about in the BBQ world. If you know of any cool stories or events please let me know!

My hope is to one day do a cross country road trip to learn about all of this great nation's many styles of Barbecue. My favorite thing to cook is brisket along with some spicy sausage to while you wait.
